Is it possible to do two different hair drug tests with different hair length to determine the approximate length of drug use?

Here is the short answer: head hair grows at 1/2 inch per month, but be very careful about being too time-specific. Remember, if you have your scissors just 1/4 of an inch off someone's scalp, you have changed the timeline by two weeks. The best use for hair testing is to find average use over a broad timeframe (one month or more). We can measure out in 1/2 inch (one month) increments to define approximately one timeframe of a month, but it may be plus or minus a week or two. Also, since we are using only 1/2 inch of hair we need three times as many strands to run a proper test. Our hair drug test use in a 60mg mass of hair.
