What is the treatment of HIV?

There is currently no vaccine or cure for HIV or AIDS. An antiretroviral treatment, known as post-exposure prophylaxis is believed to reduce the risk of infection spreading. So, current treatment for HIV infection only consists of highly active antiretroviral therapy, or HAART.
