What is the legal status of JWH-018, JWH-073, and other synthetic cannabinoids in the United States?
On March 1, 2011, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) officially exercised its emergency scheduling authority to control JWH-018, JWH-073, JWH-200, CP-47,497, and cannabicyclohexanol – placing them as Schedule I substances. The action makes possessing and selling these chemicals or the products that contain them illegal in the United States.
