What is GHB?

GHB stands for Gamma hydroxy butyrate or Gamma hydroxybutyric acid which is a central nervous system (CNS) depressant that can relax or sedate the body. At higher doses it can slow breathing and heart rate to dangerous levels. Human body produces Gamma hydroxybutyric acid in various normal metabolic pathways. However, just because it is produced by our body, people think that its safe to consume to get a high. In reality, thats not true at all.
