What if one of the parents is deceased?
If one or even both of the parents are deceased, the conserved-familial Microsatellite regions of DNA of direct relatives of deceased parent can be used to do DNA based paternal testing. It is a remarkable feature of DNA paternity testing and results are obtained with more than 75% of accuracy in this case. This sort of testing is termed as DNA Kinship analysis.
