What exactly is DNA?
DNA is a long linear polymer found in the nucleus of a cell. It is formed from nucleotides and is shaped like a double helix. This double helical structure has a specific sequence of nucleotides that code for various amino acids. Different sequence of nucleotides codes for different amino acids which further differentially join together to form sequence specific proteins! These proteins are the macromolecules which virtually perform all the functions required for growth and functioning of every organism.
