What do you mean by CRP testing?
CRP testing is a testing method which measures the C-Reactive Protein levels in the human serum that is secreted by liver as a result of acute inflammation. Whenever any unwanted microbial/viral invasion occurs, these CRPs immediately jump to action, rapidly migrating in to the blood from liver, increasing their concentration in the blood stream. They may indicate the onset of various inflammatory disorders at an early stage. The concentration of CRP varies in response to the various stages of pathological conditions and thus change in CRP levels serve as an important marker for inflammation diagnosis and prognosis.
