While deficiency leads to several classes of disorders, higher levels of vitamin B6 are also not good. Vitamin B6 in high levels tends to show various cytotoxic effects. It can damage nerves from arms to legs. This is an irreversible type to neuropathy. Some organizations like The Food and Nutrition Board of the National Institute of Medicine has established an upper tolerable intake level (UL) for vitamin B6 of 100 mg per day for all adults.
