What are these free radicals and how can they harm my body?
Biological 'free radicals' are highly reactive oxygen species derived from the environment from normal chemical processes occurring in your body, stresses of daily life, including stress from environmental pollution, from toxins in food, from lifestyle changes or habits, or from having a pre-existing condition such as diabetes. The more these stresses, more the amount of free radicals are produced in our body due to various bio-chemical reactions. These 'free radicals', if left unchecked, can cause damage to your cells and tissues and can contribute to the development of various degenerative conditions, including heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis and cancer.
