I have noticed a recent consistent itch on my son’s skin from some days. I suspect he may have contacted some harmful material while playing. What could be it?
It is possible he may have come in contact with some asbestos contaminant while outside the house. Asbestos is mostly in the form of fibers which are not visible to naked eyes. They are also respirable since their size is about 3.0-20.0 µm in length and can be as thin as 0.01 µm. Human hair ranges in size from 17 to 181 µm in width. If you and your son spend time in a home or school, that was built or remodeled between the years 1900 and 1978, it is highly possible that you are being exposed to asbestos, a cancer causing building material, mostly lung cancer.
