If you have a diagnosis of a coronary heart disease, there's a great deal you can do to help yourself. All the preventative advice applies- Don't smoke, get your blood pressure checked, ensure your cholesterol level is below 5.0 mmol/l by modifying your diet and taking any drugs prescribed to you by your doctor. If your Body Mass Index is high it is advisable lose weight. Get checked for diabetes and if you have it, make sure it's treated actively.
