Is there anything that could cause an error in the fertility test results?
The fertility test instructions need to be followed correctly in order to be sure results are accurate. If the semen sample is not collected or handled correctly, that may also cause a problem. The semen sample needs to remain in the liquefaction cup for at least 15 minutes before the test is performed, to ensure that it is sufficiently liquefied and will drain through the filter. However, some semen samples may not liquefy successfully even if instructions have been followed. This is a result of a condition called "high viscosity" and your doctor should be consulted.
