Is fertility levels affected by masturbating?

An orgasm via masturbation or sexual intercourse both result in ejaculation of sperm, so they do not differ in that way. However, the sperm count can theoretically be lowered and reduce the quality of sperm in a man with a low sperm count if masturbation occurs when fertility levels is important. Masturbation does not have a long-term detrimental effect on fertility levels.
