If I'm taking my Basal Body Temperature (BBT), what's the point in doing expensive OPKs?
The ovulation test will be able to tell you when ovulation will occur, whereas checking basal body temperature only tells you when ovulation has ended. Temperature change only occurs after ovulation ends as a response to increased progesterone levels. Once the temperature rises, it is too late to get pregnant.
