How is the tests in the TestCountry Hair Drug Testing Program done?

Hair drug testing is a process in which hair samples are analyzed for illegal drug use. When a drug is ingested, it enters the blood stream and is broken down to a specific metabolite. When a hair sample is screened, both the parent drug and the metabolite are isolated. If the sample screens positive, it is forwarded to a GC/MS laboratory for confirmation. All screens are confirmed using state-of-the-art GC/MS.

In order for the sample to confirm positive at the established cut-off level, the metabolite of the drug will only be present if the donor has physically ingested the drug(s) detected. The hair drug testing lab that TestCountry utilize uses cut-off levels that follow the current SAMSHA levels for each illicit drug.
