How does the Ovulite Ovulation Predictor test work?

The Ovulite Ovulation Predictor test is made up of a small cylindrical container, a focal eyepiece and a slide where the saliva sample is placed and illuminated with an LED (Light Emitting Diode). During ovulation, dried saliva forms a fern-like pattern that is easily seen using the Ovulite "microscope" and indicates that ovulation is taking place.
