Currently, there are no routine screening tests to detect thyroid cancer. Most types of thyroid cancers have symptoms, such as a lump in the neck, so they are easy to catch early. See your doctor if you notice a lump or swelling in your neck. However, some rare types of thyroid cancers do not cause symptoms until they reach a very late stage. That is why it is important to take early detection tests.
